MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The University of Wisconsin has announced kickoff times and TV assignments for select football games, including the highly-anticipated matchup with Notre Dame at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
The September 25th game against the Fighting Irish has been slotted for 11 AM and will be televised nationally by the FOX Broadcast network as the “Big Noon Kickoff” game of the week.
Other games that have been assigned include the September 11th contest against Eastern Michigan (6 PM kickoff) and Homecoming on October 30th against Iowa (11 AM). The October 9th game against Illinois in Champaign will start at either 2:30 or 3 PM.
The Badgers season-opening game against Penn State had previously been scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, September 4th.
The Notre Dame game is considered a Badger home game even though it’s being played in Illinois. It’s the second game of a two-year contract between the schools, the first game was scheduled to be played at Lambeau Field last season as Notre Dame’s home game, but that was canceled due to COVID-19.
