
Milwaukee Brewers
CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU) — The Brewers offense backed up a strong start from Corbin Burns as Milwaukee beat Cincinnati 10-2 on Saturday.
Burnes went 6.1 innings and scattered four hits and two earned runs. He also recorded three walks and eight strikeouts.
Taylor Rodgers and Brent Suter combined to hold the Reds off the board in the 8th and 9th to lock down the win. Rodgers worked around a walk and a hit batter in the 8th.
Hunter Renfroe provided most of the offense for the night with five RBI and three runs scored as part of a 4-5 day at the plate. That included a pair of two-run home runs in the 4th and 5th. Rowdy Tellez added a 9th-inning solo blast, one of his two hits on the night. He also scored three runs.
Andrew McCutchen added a double and a run scored. Omar Navarez recorded two singles.
The same two teams will close out their series this afternoon. Coverage will be on 93.9 The Game in Wausau due to Packers football on WSAU.
