STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A former youth pastor at Woodlands Church in Plover has pled not guilty to multiple felony charges for the sexual assault of a child.
Jordan Huffman appeared for arrangement and a bond modification hearing on Monday to enter the plea for eight counts including first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 and three counts of child enticement.
Huffman, who had been working in Florida at the time of his arrest, also faces counts of causing a child to view pornographic materials and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Charges against him go back to 2017 when investigators say he was tasked with mentoring a child because they were acting out at school and had started drinking alcohol. It’s believed that Huffman assaulted the victim multiple times over three years, stopping only after the victim told him they no longer wanted to do anything sexual.
The child’s parent brought the allegations forward earlier this year.

Monday’s hearing also included a bond modification proposal, which was denied. Huffman was released on a $100,000 bond with several conditions including no contact with minors, the victim in the case, or the Woodlands Church. Additionally, he is not to leave the state of Wisconsin while the trial is pending.
Court records also show he recently relocated to Antigo.
No further court action was immediately scheduled.
