WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A new poll from Public Opinion Strategies shows FL. Gov Ron DeSantis leading President Biden in some key battleground states.
The poll found that Ron DeSantis currently holds a three-point advantage over the President in Georgia and also holds a four-point lead over Biden in Arizona.
When the poll asked the voters the same question about former President Trump they were a bit less enthusiastic. In Georgia, the poll found that President Biden leads Trump by one point, and in Arizona, Biden leads Trump by two points.
A poll conducted by Cygnal in late April found that Ron DeSantis also leads President Biden by eight points with Independents and tied with the President nationally.
These numbers come just days after an ABC/Washington Post poll found that nationally, President Biden is currently 7 points underwater to former President Trump and 8 points behind Ron DeSantis. The poll also found that Biden’s approval rating currently sits at an all-time low of only 36%.
It’s worth noting that all eleven ABC/Washington Post polls conducted during the 2020 election had President Biden defeating former President Trump by double digits.
When it comes to the Republican Primary, Real Clear Politics has former President Trump with his biggest lead to date with a 56% to 19.9% advantage over Gov. Ron DeSantis, and FiveThirtyEight currently has Trump defeating DeSantis 53.1% to 21.3%.
With over a year to go until election day, these numbers are guaranteed to continue changing directions but as of today, it appears we are heading toward a much-anticipated rematch between former President Trump and President Biden.
