WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – On Friday, Broadway star Adam Jacobs will perform “Right Where I Belong: The Songs of Alan Menken” at the Grand Theater in Wausau.
Jacobs’ visit to Central Wisconsin is especially meaningful because his wife Kelly is from Wausau. She went to Wausau East, and she and Adam dated while living in town before getting married in Minocqua.
As a veteran performer whose credits include the Broadway version of Aladdin, Newsies, Simba in The Lion King, Les Misérables, and more, Jacobs doesn’t take the opportunity to tour to the music of Alan Menken lightly.
“It brings me back to those days when we were first falling in love, so it’s a romantic place. I know a lot of people don’t think of Wausau as Italy or something like that, but for me, it was a romantic place,” Jacobs said.
Tickets for the show are $25 and may be purchased at the Grand Theater.
