CHICAGO, Il (WSAU) — Craig Counsell is shedding light on why he left the Brewers fo the Chicago Cubs manager’s job.
The Wisconsin native told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel yesterday that he wanted a “new professional challenge” and felt the Cubs represented the best landing spot for him. He also thanked the Brewers organization and expressed his gratitude for being part of Milwaukee’s community.
ESPN reports the record-setting deal will pay the 53-year-old 40-million-dollars over the next five seasons.
The Brew Crew are still looking for their new manager.
