MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Tyler Kolek took it personally that Marquette was playing coach Shaka Smart’s old team.
Kolek scored 28 points to lead Marquette to an 86-65 victory last night at Fiserv. Smart coached at Texas before coming to Marquette.
The win is Marquette’s latest against a ranked team. Texas was 16th in the Coaches Poll, while Marquette is ranked seventh.
Marquette is back in action Saturday night against Notre Dame.
