MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers landed their fourth transfer commitment on Thursday afternoon when former LSU tight end Jackson McGohan announced on X that he will be joining the program in 2024.
McGohan was heavily recruited by Badgers head coach Luke Fickell while he was at Cincinnati but chose LSU in the end. When asked about coming to Madison, McGohan told Allen Trieu of 247 Sports that he wants to make a difference saying, “A lot of the staff is like family to me knowing them so long, a great culture is very important and they’ve got it! I’m ready to play and make a difference.”

As a true freshman, McGohan played in eight games for the Tigers, but he only saw eight offensive snaps overall. The former three-star recruit will join a Badgers tight end room that only had 24 total catches in 2023. Starting tight end Hayden Rucci has not yet stated if he will be back with the program in 2024.
The Badgers will hope that McGohan can take the place of former four-star commit and the 15th-ranked tight end in the country, Robert Booker, who decommitted from the program back in June.
