MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — Crews in Marshfield responded to a small grass fire outside a home on East Heritage Drive.
The fire started in a pile of garbage on Tuesday afternoon and was doused in less than five minutes. Investigators say the fire was accidental, and was contained to the area of origin.
No buildings were damaged in the incident, and no one was injured.
Fire danger across the state was high early this week due to dry conditions and high winds. Multiple fires were reported in Marathon County on Tuesday.
