MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers have secured commitments from two 2025 four-star recruits expected to play big roles for the program next season.
Their weekend started by landing Arizona native and offensive tackle Logan Powell, who announced his commitment to the Badgers in a post on X and chose Wisconsin over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arizona Wildcats, Michigan Wolverines, and Tennessee Volunteers.
Powell praised new Badgers offensive line coach A.J. Blazek last month while talking to Badgers 247 in May: “The way that Coach Blazek really cares about his guys. I recently texted one of his O-linemen, and he really had a lot to say—a lot of good things to say about Coach Blazek. I can’t wait to get out there and meet the rest of the coaches and get to meet Coach Blazek a bit more.”
According to 247Sports, Powell is the No. 25-ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2025. Powell will join three-star Wautoma native Michael Roeske and three-star New Jersey native Cam Clark as the only offensive linemen from the 2025 class to commit to the Badgers.
Wisconsin’s weekend did not end there, though, with four-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud also verbally committing to the Badgers early on Sunday morning. According to 247Sports, Stroud is the nation’s No. 36 ranked cornerback in the country and chose the Badgers over South Florida, Colorado, and Penn State.
Stroud becomes the fifth defensive back to commit to the program for 2025, joining Jaimier Scott, Remington Moss, Grant Dean, and Luke Emmerich.
