WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Grand Theater has announced the 2024–25 season schedule, featuring several big shows and top Broadway musicals.
According to a press release, the first Broadway show of the season will be the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen on December 9th and 10th, followed by the fellow Tony Award-winning and Grammy-winning mythic musical Hadestown on January 6th and 7th. Other notable musicals coming to theaters in 2025 include Pretty Woman: The Musical on February 13th and 14th and Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations on April 15th and 16th.
The Grand also announced that popular touring acts will be coming this season, including “Funny Mother” comedian Dena Blizzard (Nov. 23), and the improv show Whose Live Anyway? (Sept. 21), country music star Terri Clark (Nov. 16), the world’s #1 Michael Jackson tribute show, Invincible (May 3), and Little River Band (Oct 4).
When asked about the lineup, Grand Theater Executive Director Shawn Wright says there will be something for everyone: “It’s a big season with 37 shows, which is one of the largest seasons we’ve had in a long time, and what I think is great about the season is that it’s a huge Broadway season with Tony Award winners Dear Evan Hansen and Hadestown, Ain’t Too Proud, as well as big shows like Riverdance, Cirque Dreams, Holidaze, The Magic of Rob Lake, and many others for people of all ages.”
The Grand will host their lineup preview party on Tuesday, June 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m., where people will have their first chance to secure tickets with a season subscription order, and single shows will go on sale on July 9.
