WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAU) – The Iranian government has reportedly targeted both President Trump’s and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s families’ lives for assassination as the war in the Middle East continues.
According to a graphic Iranian state media video titled “Where to Kill Barron Trump” that was broadcast on state TV over the weekend, the Iranian government claims the President’s 20-year-old son is “fully monitored” and shows images of Barron in his dorm room at New York University. The video further says that the Iranian government is monitoring his Xbox and Discord accounts and has identified his friends, naming two of them.
“This is just the beginning! Barron Trump, wait for us!” the video stated.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has threatened the president’s family’s lives before; in July, they uploaded a similar video titled “Where to Kill Melania?” referring to the First Lady. In 2024, the Department of Justice indicted IRGC asset Farhad Shakeri and Pakistani national Asif Merchant with recruiting hitmen to surveil and assassinate President Trump in the U.S. before the 2024 election.
According to Reuters, the Trumps are not the only prominent family under threat after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Iran attempted to kill one of his sons.
The prime minister didn’t state which of his sons he was referring to. The Iranian mission at the United Nations in New York did not immediately reply to a request for comment from Reuters on the accusation.
