GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – During a press conference on Thursday, former Packers defensive coordinator and current Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley stated that the Eagles had a big advantage going into the team’s primetime week one game in Brazil.
According to Hafley, who hired former Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as his pass game coordinator with the Dolphins, Philadelphia used fan videos taken during practices that were open to the public to learn the Packers’ pressure packages, saying, “We had a pressure I had never run, so there’s no way he could’ve known about it. And they knew it was coming. (Kevin) said they saw it on video.”
The Packers lost 34-29 against the Eagles to begin the 2024 season, and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was 20-of-34 for 278 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, for an 80.3 passing rating against the Packers defense. Running back Saquon Barkley also had 24 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
To maintain their strategic advantages, the Packers began prohibiting fans from filming during certain aspects of their 2026 training camp. The team now hangs “Protect Our Plays” posters at Ray Nitschke Field and requires staff to carry signs during “non-shooting periods” to discourage video and photo capturing.
