WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Parks and recreation officials in Marathon County will be closing some snowmobile trails Sunday evening for maintenance.
Officials will close the trails located in and around Kronenwetter at 10 PM Sunday for both snowmobile and ATV use. Trails will remain closed until further notice, or until conditions allow for reopening.
Trails in Zone 3 that will remain open connect to Zones 1 and 2.
Snowmobile and ATV trails are constantly evaluated throughout the season and could be closed for grooming if conditions require. Users are encouraged to check the trail conditions report on the County’s website before going out for the most up-to-date information.
