MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers offense was on fire today, as they defeated the New York Mets 10-0 in their home opener.
Brian Anderson, an offseason addition, and rookie Brice Turang both had big games at the plate. Anderson went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and one home run. Turang also went 2 for 3 with four RBI and a walk.
With 7 innings of work, Freddy Peralta threw a masterpiece, striking out seven while only allowing two hits.
Turang hit a grand slam off Mets pitcher Tommy Hunter in the fifth inning, putting the game out of reach.

The Brewers are now 3-1 on the season and will face the Mets again tomorrow night at American Family Field. The pregame on WSAU begins at 6:10 PM, followed by the first pitch at 6:40 PM.
