STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – On Thursday afternoon, the Stevens Point city council met to discuss options and potential plans for a new city hall.
According to Ryan Kernosky, Director of Community Development, having an open dialogue will be critical for the process.
“Really what we wanna achieve from this conversation is just open dialogue with council and the county present so they can have a better understanding of what they can take back to the county board as conversations happen and a decision is made on location,” Kernosky said.
The council discussed a number of potential locations, including the City/County building on Strong Avenue.
There is no timetable for when an official decision will be made, and more discussions on this are expected at future meetings.
