GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers chose to solidify their offensive line after they selected former North Carolina State offensive tackle Anthony Belton with the 54th overall pick in the 2025 draft.
Belton, who stands 6’6 and weighs 326 lbs., was an unranked recruit from the 2019 class before he enrolled at Georgia Military Academy, where he spent two seasons before transferring to N.C. State and made 32 career starts at left tackle, earning himself Third-Team All-ACC honors in 2023.
Scouts note that Belton has issues with consistency due to his slow footwork, but his powerful framework and nearly 34-inch arm length made him one of the more compelling offensive line prospects in this year’s draft class.
During the 2024 season, Belton recorded an outstanding 87.2 pass-blocking grade on 741 snaps and an overall 73.6 grade.
Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker is in the final year of his rookie deal, and it remains unclear if the Packers plan to re-sign him, but with the selection of Belton and Jordan Morgan last off-season, the Packers appear to be leaning toward allowing Walker to test the free agent market next summer.
