April 16 (Reuters) – U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren on Thursday said she met with Federal Reserve chair nominee Kevin Warsh ahead of his scheduled confirmation hearing next Tuesday and believes the holes in his financial disclosures don’t pass muster with Senate ethics rules and mean that hearing should be delayed.
“This is not a financial report that is in compliance,” the top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee said, adding that Warsh was explicit that he would not hand over more documents. “That’s a red flag surrounded by fireworks and sparklers. This is a real problem.”
