TOWN OF CARSON, WI (WSAU) — A Milladore man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Portage County Tuesday night.
An Alliant Energy worker reported the crash after they were called to an area near County Road G and Oriole Road to investigate a power outage. That’s where they found a motorcycle on its side near an unresponsive man.
Investigators determined that the man was riding southbound on G when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider was not wearing a helmet, and the crash remains under investigation. It’s unclear if the crash caused the outage that the Alliant worker was originally investigating.
